The Ciderologist (Gabriel Cook) reviewed this fabulous naturally conditioned Blakeney Red Perry on Channel 4 Sunday Brunch.
Blakeney Red also known as Circus Pear, Painted Lady and Painted Pear originated in and was named after the village of Blakeney in The Forest of Dean.
Blakeney Red Pears were wideley planted between 1830 and 1900 and The Ross-on-Wye Cider & Perry Company are still able to obtain these pears to make this wonderful single-variety perry.
